A kinetic mechanical nameplate for content creators using ferrofluid and basic mechanical assemblage.

So, when given the task of designing a mechanical nameplate as a decorative household object that fascinates, my first instinct was to play with moving elements.
I landed on a concept that combined active interaction with passive reaction: you swap out the magnetic letters, and the ferrofluid display forms whatever you put in.

I tested with a 1:3 moving prototype alongside a 1:1 scale model and a bunch of part models to figure out the mechanism.
